Foothills Craft Guild, the oldest State chartered craft guild in Tennessee, started in 1966 with 25 members. Today it is made up of over 200 juried members who are dedicated to promoting and encouraging high standards of workmanship and conducting educational programs. The Guild strives to preserve the traditional crafts as well as showcase the newest trends and developments in the craft world.

TACA is a statewide membership organization connecting crafts and people through education, marketing and networking. It is well-known for the three juried craft fairs it produces, the Tennessee Crafts Fair in Nashville's Centennial Park the first weekend in May (for Tennessee resident artists only), the TACA Fall Crafts Fair the last weekend in September also in Centennial Park, and the Celebration of Fine Craft in Chattanooga's Coolidge Park the first weekend in October.
