The Chattahoochee Handweavers Guild is a nonprofit, educational organization dedicated to promoting the art and craft of weaving. Members include both novice and experienced weavers, spinners, dyers, basket makers, braiders, and other fiber artisans. Visitors are welcome at monthly meetings, where guest speakers present lectures and other programs concerning fiber arts. The Guild offers classes to the public on a quarterly basis and holds three workshops each year for its members. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in textiles and fiber arts. Peachtree Arts and Crafts Association is a new guild composed of fine artists
and fine craftsmen located in the North Atlanta, Georgia area. The guild's purpose
is to promote fine arts and crafts in the Northern suburbs of Atlanta including
araes such as Buckhead, Brookhaven, Doraville, Chamblee, Dunwoody, Alpharetta,
and Duluth, to educate young people in arts and crafts, to assist artists and
craftsmen in promoting and selling their work and in supporting those artists
and craftsmen who choose their art or craft as a full time endeavor.

The River Country Basket Guild meets weekly to weave baskets and friendships at in the fellowship hall of St. Alban's Episcopal Church, 2321 Lumpkin Road in Augusta, Ga., on Tuesdays from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Classes are offered for those new to weaving.
