The (EGW) Enamel Guild West was founded in 1976, and will be celebrating its 30 year anniversary in 2006 as a (501-c3) non-profit group serving the artistic enamelists in the seven (7) county Southern California region. The EGW provides its members with a regular newsletter publication known as the "Viterous Voice" which has been in continous publication for 30 years. The guild sponsors workshops; and hosts both juried and non-juried exhibitions in the fine art of enameling. The EGW supports the recognition and increased awareness of this ancient and durable fine art form by promoting interest in the medium via dealers, resellers, arts patrons, collectors, and through enamel and enamelist mastery educational activities in Southern California.
