The Farmington Valley Arts Center is a 29-year-old, nonprofit organization dedicated to providing quality education in and through the arts. The Arts Center offers ongoing classes for adults and children, rents studio space and provides career development opportunities for professional artists, and operates two galleries featuring fine craft and fine art on display and for sale. It also conducts outreach programs with central Connecticut schools and social service agencies and offers an intensive summer arts camp.

The Classical Blacksmithing School of Boston offers classes to the beginner who has little to no experience in blacksmithing. Classes are one day so students can get their feet wet and decide if they want to take more clsses. The classes build upon one another taking your experience to the next level. Classes are taught by Master Blacksmith Carl Close Jr. of Hammersmith Studios. Lunch is also included and catered during lunch students and instructors can become aquainted with eachother and this has a family atmosphere which students are very receptive to. Each student leaves with a completed project for that days efforts which gives a feeling of self accomplishment.

The Rochester Folk Art Guild is a not-for-profit educational crafts organization. For more than 30 years the guild has been hosting apprenticeship residencies in the Finger Lakes Region at its farm in Middlesex. The guild's shops include pottery, weaving, sewing, wooden toys, wooden furniture, graphic arts, glass, blacksmithing, and basket weaving.

Women's Studio Workshop is a not-for-profit visual arts organization,located in the Mid Hudson Valley region of New York State.
